Biography

Dr. Keerthan Shashidhar is a highly qualified orthodontist with a comprehensive educational background and extensive international training. He completed his dental studies at the AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, where he earned both a Master’s in Orthodontics (MDS) anda Ph.D., demonstrating his dedication to advancing his knowledge in the field of orthodontics.

Dr. Keerthan specializes in dentofacial orthopedics and has expertise in a wide range of orthodontic treatments, including traditional braces, self-ligating brackets, clear aligners, and mini-implants. His clinical approach is focused on designing personalized treatment plans to achieve the smiles his patients desire.

To further enhance his skills, Dr. Keerthan pursued advanced training at National Taiwan University and Nagasaki University, gaining valuable insights into orthodontic practices in both Taiwan and Japan. He also completed observerships at the University of Tokyo and SP Dental Centers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, which broadened his clinical perspective and allowed him to integrate global best practices into his work.

With over five years of experience handling a high volume of orthodontic cases in his home country, Dr. Keerthan transitioned to an academic role as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at a leading university in the UAE, where he shares his knowledge with emerging orthodontists.

Dr. Keerthan holds a Ph.D. in Orthodontics, an MDS in Orthodontics, and is a Certified Invisalign Provider. He is licensed by both the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) and is dedicated to offering the most up-to-date and effective treatments. His approach is tailored to each patient’s specific needs, whether through traditional braces or advanced options like clear aligners and self-ligating brackets.

His international training and academic contributions ensure that Dr. Keerthan stays at the forefront of orthodontic innovation. He has published over 20 scientific articles and actively participates in advancing orthodontic research.
